Kristin Fischer is set to join CNN as the Space and Defense Correspondent in July 2021. As a correspondent she is responsible for covering everything from NASA and the newly created Space Force, to commercial space companies and the advent in space travel. As the daughter of 2 NASA astronauts Kristin was raised in the space industry and was a part of the space industry for five years, covering the Biden and Trump Administration's space policies as a White House Correspondent for FOX News. In addition to covering two presidential impeachment cases as well as the 2020 Presidential Campaign and the two administrations' attempts to limit the outbreak of coronavirus Kristin also covered a variety of other subjects. Former president Donald Trump traveled to Afghanistan for a restricted trip. Before becoming a part of the company in the year 2015, Kristin spent nearly a decade working her way up through local TV news markets in Grand Junction, Colorado; Little Rock, Arkansas; and Washington, D.C. where she was awarded one Emmy Award as a one-man-band reporter for the Washington, D.C.'s CBS affiliate. Kristin's camera skills helped her establish Field Mouse Films which specialized in making documentaries for corporate customers like Uber Hotels & Resorts, and Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Kristin is a graduate of journalism at Boston University. Her husband and three year-old daughter reside in Washington, D.C.
